The city holds secrets in every corner. No one is safe amongst its walls. We pace the streets wrapped in our own safe bubbles of indiference. Never make eye contact. That's the first rule anyone who is born in a city learns from their first ramblings into the unknown. If you make eye contact, you're lost. It's as if you allow that other someone to burst your bubble and intrude upon your safety. Lunatics spread their desease everywhere. Beware of their eyes. Do not engage. Never engage.
